Our weekly schedule continues this week:

Beginner's Night on Tuesdays from 7pm - 8:30pm.
Learn about Buddhism with introductory teachings and gain experiential understanding with meditation instruction and practice.

Wednesdays at 7pm is Ngondro practice.
Lately, we have been doing the Refuge section.  This combines prostrations, (a form of practice that involves the entire body, great exercise,) with visualization and meditation to quickly purify obscurations and accumulate merit. Some of us are absolutely hooked!

Sunday mornings from 10am - Noon is Deity Yoga practice.
This Chenrizig practice, the manifestation of compassion will connect one to energies conducive to the development of the spiritual capacity to truly help others, and will quicken the path to Enlightenment.

Lama Gursam

The Meditation Posture.

Chairs are available for those with physical limitations

Everyone, regardless of experience is welcome to come to any and all practices.

The Drikung Meditation Center, Tibetan Buddhism in the Boston Area

The Drikung Meditation Center is a Tibetan Buddhist meditation center in Arlington, Massachusetts (in the metro Boston area), dedicated to the study and practice of the Buddha’s teachings as preserved in the Drikung Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. We are a Vajrayana Buddhist Center that is a branch of Tibet’s famous Katsel monastery. It is our aspiration to make a Tibetan Buddhist pilgrimage site featuring an “emanation replica” of the famous Jowo Rinpoche statue in Lhasa, Tibet. The U.S. Drikung Jowo Rinpoche, nearly completed, will be the main feature of this pilgrimage site.

We meet on Sundays and Wednesdays for teachings and meditation practice with our resident Lama (teacher) and spiritual director, Lama Sonam. The vajrayana practice Green Tara is a regular practice that we do that anyone can experience. You do not need previous meditation experience to do our practices. We also host a variety of great masters and Rinpoches throughout the year to make their teachings available to the greater Boston community.

We welcome anyone and everyone to come and join us for the Dharma. We are here to serve the community and to bring the happiness and joy of the Buddhist teachings to everyone who is interested.

The Four Immeasurable Wishes of Buddhism
Love: May all mother sentient beings, boundless as the sky, have happiness and the causes of happiness.
Compassion: May they be liberated from suffering and the causes of suffering. Bliss: May they never be separated from the happiness which is free from sorrow. Equanimity: May they rest in equanimity, free from attachment and aversion.
